Sparkling winemakers from across Canada will be coming to Brock University this week, for the annual Fizz Club meeting.
It’s a members only gathering where the country’s top sparkling winemakers compare notes.
Belinda Kemp, a Senior Scientist at Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute, says the club has grown throughout the years.
“When we started this, most of the winemakers who attended Fizz Club were based in Niagara. Now in its sixth year, we have winemakers coming from all across Canada, including more than 20 wineries from Quebec.”
80 members will be coming into town this Thursday, making it the largest Fizz Club meeting to date.
