Canada Post workers in St. Catharines, Welland and Fort Erie went back to work this morning.

The local strike lasted about 24 hours.

Meanwhile employees in Amherstburg, Delhi, Owen Sound, Sarnia and St. Thomas began striking just after midnight today.

The rotating strikes have affected more than 70 communities across the country.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says they’re still looking for an agreement for the Urban Postal Operations and Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers bargaining units.
