The City of Niagara Falls is warning homeowners about people going door-to-door claiming to be selling water filtration equipment or offering to inspect your water lines.
They may also ask you about your utility accounts.
Officials say these people are not affiliated with the City and you are under no obligation to give them access to your home or personal information.
City employees always carry the proper identification and drive vehicles that are clearly marked City of Niagara Falls.
Door-to-door water filtration sales have been illegal since March of last year.
