A community hub could be coming to Fort Erie.

Mayor Wayne Redekop says the Greater Fort Erie Community Hub Task Force Steering Committee is going to consider the possibility.

“Fort Erie is growing and with this growth we are witnessing many opportunities and challenges. By considering the need for a community hub, Council will be able to better determine what services, programs and activities could be provided to our residents in a single gathering place and how the Town can support such an initiative. We are very grateful for the hard work of the initial Task Force volunteers that had the foresight to seek funding for this important Study.”

Representatives from McLean Consulting Group will be presenting a delegation to town council on Monday, November 19th.

They have also posted an online survey and will host three focus groups at the following locations;

– Crystal Beach Fire Hall on Thursday, November 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
– Crystal Ridge Library (Community Room) on Saturday, December 1st at 2:30 p.m.
– Stevensville Memorial Hall on Thursday, December 6th at 6:30 p.m.
