Port Cares is set to open their Give a Gift pop up shop next week, for low income families in Port Colborne.
From Monday to Friday; parents, grandparents and guardians will be able to shop for their children free of charge. But they will have to register and provide proof that they need the financial help.
Christine Clark Lafleur, Executive Director of Port Cares, says it’s their way of making sure all children in the community experience the magic of Christmas.
“Give a Gift enables all children regardless of their family’s economic circumstances to experience the joy and surprise of Christmas morning.”
Port Cares has been running this program for a number of years. It would not be possible without the donated toys, clothing and other gifts from the community.
The shop is located at 92 Charlotte Street.
