Niagara Health will keep their Best Practice Spotlight Organization status over the next two years.

The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario give this status to organizations that make a positive impact on patient care, through evidence based practices and guidelines.

The status has to be renewed every two years and Niagara Health has been able to maintain it since 2003.

Niagara Health President Suzanne Johnston is very proud of their track record.

“Our commitment to extraordinary care includes more opportunities for our nursing staff to learn and implement new practices for patient care. Equipped with this knowledge and commitment, we are building a healthier Niagara.”

Niagara Health is going to develop a Best Practice Guideline champion network. Their Welland site is hosting a workshop today, that’s going to be conducted by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario and welcome 60 delegates from across the Niagara Region.
