Home Depot shoppers will be able to donate to a great cause over the next couple of weeks.

The Orange Door campaign is underway, with all the funds set to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara.

Director of Development Brian Bratt says the money will help their youth homelessness initiative; Nightlight Youth Services.

“There is a temporary short-term residence that provides eight beds, as well as we have transitional housing that also has eight beds at the one facility. We also offer a number of basically developmental programs as well as a mentorship program and after care support services for youth in our program.”

Home Depot shoppers will be asked if they would like to donate a toonie at the checkout.

Bratt says every dollar will go a long way, especially this time of the year.

“Obviously we see an influx of youth when the weather turns colder so any dollars to help our services are more than welcome.”

The campaign will wrap up on the Sunday December 16th.
