A violent robbery and stabbing has resulted in the arrest of three people. The Niagara Regional Police says early Tuesday morning, the male suspects broke into a home with a handgun and demanded money from the homeowners. After a violent struggle, the suspects ran away with police receiving another call about 30 minutes later about a man with alleged stab wounds. The victim was flown to Hamilton Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. A police investigation found that the two incidents were linked and obtained search warrants for a house and vehicle connected to the suspects. Police found and seized several firearms and a quantity of drugs. A 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman both from St. Catharines were arrested shortly after; both are facing several drug and weapon related charges. The third man, a 36-year-old from Niagara Falls, still wasn’t in police custody yet. NRP officers found and arrested him today. He’s also facing several drug and weapon related charges and is being held pending a bail hearing.
